
Betty Jean (Dromgoole) Estill was born Jan. 17, 1931 to Charlie and Maggie (Grosskurth) Dromgoole in Cuero. She entered into eternal glory on Feb. 6, 2014, at the age of 83 in Shenandoah.
She was baptized, confirmed and married to Don Stayton Estill at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Cuero.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at Living Word Lutheran Church, 9500 North Panther Creek Drive in The Woodlands. For family and friends in South Texas a burial service was held at 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Nordheim Cemetery in Nordheim. There will be no visitation and it will be a closed casket due to severe injuries to the head due to a fall. More info on website for Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don Estill, parents, Charlie and Maggie (Grosskurth) Dromgoole, her sisters, Ruby Buenger, Opal Rickman, V-Anne Smith and brothers Warren and Charles Dromgoole and their spouses.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucretia Estill-Sheffield and husband, Lee of Shenandoah, Texas, and son Don B. Estill of Big Spring, Texas, grandchildren, James Connor Sheffield and Valarie Estill. She is also survived by two special family friends, Ollie Reed and Karen Standiford, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends whom she dearly loved.
