
CUERO: Freddie Ray Langhoff, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.
He was born on April 3, 1936 in Shiner to Agon Frederick and Beulah St. Clair Langhoff.
He worked at Arkla Gas Company for 30 years until 1987 when he and Barbara bought the Sands Motel where he worked until he retired in 1999. He was in the Army Reserves, a member of the Lions Club, was a volunteer for the Lockhart and Cuero Fire Departments and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Survivors: wife, Barbara Pilzner Langhoff, sons; Darryll Langhoff and wife Barb of Yoakum and Tracy Langhoff of Lufkin; grandchildren, Taren Langhoff Blanchette and husband Brian, Drew Langhoff and wife Megan, Brandy Mozisek and fiance Joe, Johnny Mozisek and Melissa and Devin Langhoff; 2.5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Killough and husband Oliver of Hallettsville.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero with Pastor Karl Biermann officiating.
