
Christina F. Sturm, 70, of Cuero, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014.
She was born September 4, 1943 in Hutchinson, KS to the late Glen Lyman and Alberta Worlow. Christina was a wonderful wife, mother, granny, and great-granny and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She received Salvation from her Lord and Savior and was Baptized in November 2000. Christina was a state champion league bowler and was an active church member and cooked for the Vacation Bible School . She married the love of her life, Michael J. Sturm, on June 22, 1960, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cuero.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Michelle McNeese (David) of Humble; sons, Dennis Sturm of Cuero and Chet Sturm (Tracy) of Cuero; grandchildren, Brittany Morrison (Kris) of Victoria, Colby Sturn (Sarah) of Cuero, Ashton McNeese of Humble, Cortney McNeese of Humble, Jennifer Sturm of Cuero, and Jason Warwas (Donna) of Victoria; and great-grandchildren, Connor and Zoe Morrison of Victoria, Colby Jr. and Vivian Sturm of Cuero, and Justin Warwas of Victoria.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Joe Sturm; sister, Judith Lyman; and brother, Glen “Butch” Lyman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mission Valley with Pastor Tom Bradley officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held immediately after the service at the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
Pallbearers include Dennis Sturm, Chet Sturm, Colby Sturm, Ashton McNeese, Jason Warwas, and David McNeese.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bibles 4 Peoples.
