Maurine Ottine Flessner, 95, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was born April 19, 1919 in Nordheim to the late Otto and Mary Kneifel Schroller. She married Edwin Flessner on January 9, 1938 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorktown.
She is survived by son, Douglas Flessner (Caraleen) of Cuero; daughter-in-law, Barbara Flessner; grandchildren, Kyle Flessner (Kelly) of Lucas, Jeremy Flessner (Jenny) of Katy, Kristin Landry (Michael) of Houston, Rodney Flessner (Stephanie) of Cuero, and Randall Flessner (Melissa) of Cuero; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Landry of Houston, Avery and Erin Flessner of Lucas, Evan, Clara, and Camden Flessner of Katy, Chad, Cody, Gavin, and Korbin Flessner of Cuero, and Desirae and Alexis Flessner of Cuero.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and son, Harlan Flessner.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, December 22, 2014, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Kyle Flessner, Jeremy Flessner, Michael Landry, Rodney Flessner, Randall Flessner, and Gary Flessner.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and Hospice of South Texas.
