
Gertrude Natho Boehm, 98, of Cuero, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born August 11, 1916 in Nordheim to the late Otto and Lydia Borem Natho. She married Eddie Boehm on October 10, 1936 in Orange Grove. Gertrude was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Sons of Hermann. Gertrude was a nanny and private sitter, and loved gardening and working in the yard.
She is survived by her sons, Harvey Lee Boehm of Houston and Jerome “Jerry” Boehm of Cuero; daughter, Betty Myrl Tacker of Woodland Hills, CA; sister, Edna Krautz of Orange Grove; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Edmund “Eddie” Boehm; brother, Edgar Natho; and sisters, Adela DeReese and Bernice Smith.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be Thursday, January 5, 2015, 10 a.m., at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Lindenau Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Matthew Boehm, Steven Boehm, Scott Starnes, WA Afflerbach, Bobby Tacker, and Bernard Natho.
Honorary pallbearers include Missy Starnes, Gregg Tacker, Brett Tacker, Oralia Maldanado, Erma Villa, Margarita Moreno, and Rosalinda “Chila” Zamora.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lindenau Community Cemetery, St. Michael’s Building Fund, or St. Michael’s Catholic School.
