Minerva Alicia Muñoz, 87, of Cuero passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. She was born October 12, 1927 in Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Pablo and Paula Garcia Gonzalez. Minerva married her late husband, Mario H. Muñoz, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. She was store co-owner for 12 years and a homemaker. Minerva was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Brackettville, attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Meyersville, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Hector M. Muñoz of Austin and Samuel Muñoz of San Angelo; daughter and son-in-law, Elva and Robert Peña of Cuero, daughters, Martha A. Muñoz-Glynn of Chicago, IL and Sandra L. Muñoz of Santa Clara, CA; grandchildren, Ana Lea Torres and Adam Robert Peña, both of San Antonio, Jacqueline Molinaro of Colorado, Christina M. Muñoz of Austin, and Anthony M. Munoz of Austin; and great-granddaughters, Bella and Christina Torres of San Antonio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; and son, Victor Manuel Muñoz.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 29, 2015, 3:00 p.m., at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating.
