Tony Carrisalez

Antonio “Tony” Carrisalez, Jr., 81, of Cuero passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. He was born on Oct. 22, 1933 in Thomaston to the late Antonio Carrisalez, Sr. and Juana Perez Carrisalez. He went on to marry the love of his life, Evangelina Carrisalez, on June 25, 1955. He worked as an operator at DuPont for over 20 years. He was also retired from the Army National Guard, an active member of American Legion and Woodmen of the World. 
 
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthina Carrisalez Aleman (Donald) of Cuero, Diana Carrisalez Moore (John) of Schertz; sister, Lena Martinez; brothers, Manuel Carrisalez, Albert Carrisalez, Angel Medrano; grandchildren, Phillip Aleman, Daniel Aleman, Jeremy Moore, Rebekah Moore, and Gabriela Moore, all of Cuero. 
 
He is also survived by Alicia Puente, companion of 15 years; along with her daughter Jennifer Gamez, her son Lucian Salazar and Irma Puente.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife; sisters, Ramona Lopez, Janie Rosalez; brothers, Elias Carrisalez, Thomas Carrisalez, and Victor Carrisalez.
 
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 28 at Our Lady of Guadalupe from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29 beginning at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
 
Pallbearers include Phillip Aleman, Daniel Aleman, Jeremy Moore, Johnny Carrisalez, Henry Carrisalez, and Armado Vasquez.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
