Leebell M. Kuecker, 83, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015. He was born January 27, 1932 in Cuero to the late Louis and Anna Kuecker. He married Audrey F. Hausman on July 10, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Victoria. Leebell was a military maintenance supervisor for 32 years and retired from the Civil Service and from the Army National Guard of Texas as a First Sergeant. He served on the Cuero Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid craftsman and carpenter.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Audrey Kuecker; sons, David R. Kuecker of Kyle, Gary L. Kuecker of Friendswood, Steve W. Kuecker of Victoria, and Glen A. Kuecker of Yoakum; sister, Nelda Haschke of Angelton; brothers, Sterling Kuecker of Cuero, Lionel Kuecker of Victoria, Farrell Kuecker of Goliad, and Willburt Kuecker of Cuero; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Laverda Oehlke; and brother, Charles Kuecker.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Daniel Kuecker, Clifton Kuecker, Bryan Kuecker, Audrey Moore, Lexi Kuecker, Alicia Kuecker, Stephen Clements, and Marshall Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sydney Kuecker, Venessa Kuecker, and Spenser Clements.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
