Ruth E. Moore, 93, of Meyersville passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015. She was born May 16, 1922 in Arneckeville to Edwin and Cora Egg. Ruth married Charles O. Moore, Jan. 7, 1956 in Victoria. She enjoyed quilting, playing bridge and dominoes, staying busy at the Meyersville Store, and spending time with family.
She is survived by sons, Charles O. Moore, Jr. (Linda) of Jamestown, Ohio and Robert E. Moore (M'Liss) of Meyersville; sisters, Joan Gohmert of Meyersville and Alice Moring of Refugio; brother, Jimmy Egg (Minnie) of Mathis; daughter-in-law, Alice Poage of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jennifer Hemphill (Eli) of Jamestown, Ohio, Elizabeth Seiley (Carl) of Columbus, Ohio, Lacey Rains (Cory) of Roscoe, Melanie Light (Holden) of Corpus Christi, Sydney Moore of Austin, Stacey Agnew (Brian) of Austin, Jack Poage (Kindra) of Austin, Charles Poage (Janel) of Austin; great-grandchildren, Logan Martinez of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Bowen Hemphill of Jamestown, Ohio, Crayton and Cole Rains of Roscoe, Braden and Alexa Agnew of Austin.
She is preceded in death by parents; husband; sons, William Steven Poage and David Wendel Moore; sister, Mary Ellen Egg; and brother Ralph Egg.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 4, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. in Meyersville with Services immediately following at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Brian Agnew, Cory Rains, Charles Poage, Jack Poage, Holden Light, Don Wendel. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Hemphill and Carl Seiley.
