Judy Copenhaver

Judy Jacob Copenhaver, loving wife, mother and abuelita (grandmother) passed away Friday, Dec. 18 at her home in Cuero surrounded by family.
 
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Barry Copenhaver; children, Scott and Ineke Copenhaver, Jill and Lonnie Trevino, and Leah  Copenhaver; grandchildren, Carson, Justin and Max Copenhaver, and Maya Trevino.
 
Judy enjoyed an incredible life, she retired from the U.S. Department of State after 20 plus years where she received numerous awards for her service to the U.S. Government.
 
Judy and Barry lived in exotic, exciting and sometimes war torn places. They survived several coup d'états. They experienced a camel safari in the Rajasthan desert in India, panned for gold in the rivers of Panama and enjoyed the incredible wild life of Africa on safaris with friends.
 
Her adventurous life can be envied by many, but lived only to the fullest by her. She is loved and missed!
 
Services were held at the First Presbyterian Church in Cuero, Monday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Bill Cotman officiating.
 
In lieu of flowers, Judy requested donations to the Robert W. Post Memorial Scholarship Fund, a charity near and dear to her heart. Robert W. Post Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Sara Post Meyer, P.O. Box 110, Cuero, Texas 77954.
