
Cecil Melvin Davidson, Sr., 87, of Cuero passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015. He was born Sept. 16, 1928 in San Benito to Ira and Julia Davidson. Cecil married Charlene Dodson on Aug. 28, 1993 in Ganado. He served in the United States Army and retired as a pipefitter and heavy equipment operator for Union Association.
He is survived by wife, Charlene Davidson; daughters, Jackie Twinn (Tom) of Cuero, Linda Koop (Wayne) of Edna; sons, Cecil Davidson, Jr., of Goliad, Clifford Davidson (Lisa) of Victoria, Lynn Dodson (Brenda) of Round Rock; sister Jimmy Young of Johnson City; brother, George Davidson, Sr. of Cuero; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bonnie Cox Davidson; grandsons, Quinton Davidson, Brian Twinn; and granddaughter Stephanie Koop Lambert.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with graveside services following at 1 p.m. at the Woodsman of the World Cemetery in Prairie Lea with Pastor Terry Brown, officiating.
