Theresa Ruth Stratmann-Bowles passed away Feb. 6, 2016 at the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin. She was born in Yorktown June 20, 1949.
Theresa was a homemaker and raised her seven children.
Theresa worked at Motorola in Seguin as an Administrative Assistant to the Plant Manager and retired in 2005. She graduated from Yorktown High School in 1967 and was a member of the Gruenau Sons of Hermann Lodge Hall 117.
Theresa was a member of the Emanuel’s Lutheran Church in Seguin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. Bowles Jr.; her parents, Edgar and Sonja Stratmann; brother, Carol Jeffory Stratmann and her grandson, Caleb Trevino.
She is survived by her sons, Brandon Bowles and Danny Bowles; daughters, Tammy Bowles, Michelle Trevino, Helen McCulloch, Melissa Wolfe and Tasha Alaniz; brothers, Edgar and Rodney Stratmann; sisters, Gwenn Wolf and Wanda Styra; grandchildren, Falon Beckham, Myles Trevino, Axl Alaniz, Paisley Alaniz, Lene Wolfe, Gage Bowles, Hailey Bowles, Michael Bowles, Faith McCulloch and Nicole McCulloch and great-grandchildren, Kyson Eubanks, Caden Garcia and Sofia Aguirre.
The funeral was scheduled for Feb. 9 at Emanuel’s Lutheran Church in Seguin at 206 N. Travis St., 78155 with Rev. Paul L. Cannon officiating. Visitation was held Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home, located at 713 N. Austin St. in Seguin. Burial will follow the service at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 State Highway 46 South in New Braunfels.
