There will be a graveside service of remembrance for Jean Ridgway Schendel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the Runge cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join for a family reunion at the VFW Hall following the service.
Jean died five days after her 100th birthday celebration in Charlottesville, Va. on Sept. 19, 2015. Prior to moving to Virginia in 1993, she taught music in Runge, New Braunfels and Yorktown schools. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold in 1992, her son David in 2010 and her siblings Suzanne, Elizabeth, Mary Jane and John. She is survived by her daughter Suzan Pezzoli, sons John and Paul Schendel, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
