Corene Harrison Green was born April 26, 1921 in Thomaston to the late Joseph Harrison and Inez Langhnum. Sis. Green passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 surrounded by her family. Sis. Green was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Cuero. Corene is survived by her two children, daughter, Johnnie V. Green and son Willie C. Green Sr. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 21 great-greatgrandchildren. Also her step daughters, Lillian Prince and Mary Fields. Corene was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene “Gene” Green and Claudius Green, two children Margie Nell Austin and Freddie Lee Green; grandson Robert Prince; her parents and her five siblings. A wake service will be held on Thursday, June 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Church. Funeral services will be on Friday June 3 at 11 a.m. from Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Bryant, eulogist and Rev. Dewayne Belvin, officiant. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
