Nettie Ray Lude Schulze, 77, of Weesatche, passed away June 1, 2016. She was born Dec. 31, 1938, in Goliad County to the late William and Louise Els Lude.
She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, a daycare owner for many years, worked in the cafeteria for Goliad ISD, active in the community with Hermann Sons, a member of the Golden Girls, host for bible study, a rancher and gardener. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Elfie Baacke, Elsie Baccke, and twin sister Betty Lude, brothers Edwin and David Lude.
She is survived by sisters: Rosie Karnei and Dorothy Lude both of Weesatche, son Steven (Tammy) Schulze of Weesatche, daughters Phyllis (Buster) Krause of Karnes City and Shelly (Blaine) Schulze of Fannin, grandchildren: Cassie (Jason) Mangum, Jason (Kelly) Sullins, Bryan (Kerri) Sullins, Tyler (Casey) Schulze, Travis Schulze, Julia Shae, M.D. (Eliezer) Castaneda, Kenworth Krause, Aileen Krause, and nine great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m., Sunday June 5 at Massey Funeral Home.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. on Monday June 6 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Weesatche with Reverend C.B. Suggs officiating and Kevin Karnei assisting.
Memorials can be made to Weesatche Volunteer Fire Department or St. Andrews Lutheran Church Education Fund.
