Rhoda Marie Strickland went to be with our Lord on June 20, 2016, surrounded by friends and family.
Services was at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at Villa St. Joseph Chapel, 11901 Rosewood Dr., Overland Park, Kan.
Rhoda was born Aug. 20, 1935. She is the daughter of Tharp H. Edgar & Carlyn L. “Geffert” Edgar from Yorktown.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren M. Strickland, parents Tharp and Carlyn Edgar, sister Karla L. Bracklein and her husband Bob, and her son Michael Ray Short.
Survivors include her dear cousin Darlene Mayer of San Antonio, daughters Christine Henning and husband Allan of Olathe, Kan., Rochelle Mau and husband Ron of Cullowhee, N.C., daughter-in-law Gina Short of Waco, sons Dennis Strickland and wife Jennifer of Bucyrus, Kan., and John “Ricky” Strickland and wife Cheryl of Morgantown, Ky., 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
