
Evelyn Raye Frisbie Boothe, 90, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016. She was born Sept. 10, 1926 in Cuero to Warfield Walter Frisbie and Ida Mae Conley Frisbie. Evelyn married Lee Cleveland (L.C.) Boothe Jr. in Cuero on March 21, 1947. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at school to help children read. Evelyn loved to play Bingo and Bunco with friends and was known as the Domino Queen. She also enjoyed traveling anywhere, anytime.
She is survived by sons, Michael Lee Boothe (Sandy) of Bryan and Roger Boothe (Linda) of Cuero; sister Bettye Jean (Frisbie) Davis of Houston; brother Warfield Walter Frisbie, Jr. of Victoria; grandchildren, Lee Cleveland Boothe IV (Iris), Lindsey Marie Boothe Hulsey (Shawn) of Victoria and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, Warfield Walter Frisbie and Ida Mae Conley Frisbie; and husband L.C. Boothe.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 6 at Freund Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be held Friday, Oct. 7 at Freund Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with Elder Jeb Owens officiating.Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. Reception will be held at Primitive Baptist Church following interment.
Pallbearers will be Lee Boothe IV, Earl Boothe, Kerry Frisbie, Kenneth Boothe, Mitch Adams and Calvin Walters.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Primitive Baptist Church Stratton, Accolade Hospice or Donor’s Choice.
