Gloria (Dot) Doris Schaefer Britsch, 86, passed away March 12, 2017 in Stephenville, Texas. She was born Nov. 22, 1930 in Cuero.
In her life, Dot, as she was called, loved many things - her family, friends, music, nature and especially little children.
Dot graduated from Cuero High School in the spring of 1948 and entered Texas A&I College in Kingsville in the fall. There she met her future husband, Clinton H. Britsch. They were married on Nov. 25, 1950.
Dot was an active member in the Lutheran Church in Cuero, McAllen, Corpus Christi and Houston.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Fred C. and Blanche Wagner Schaefer and brothers, Walter Carl and Herman Schaefer and her husband, Clinton H. Britsch.
She is survived by son, Gerald H. (Jerry) Britsch of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Roberta Lynn (Bobbie) Britsch Carter of Rising Star, Texas; brother, Henry Schaefer of Pearland, Texas; grandchildren, Justin and Travis Britsch and Chris, Adam and Reed Carter and great-grandchildren, Sullivan Britsch, Shepard Britsch and Carson Britsch.
A funeral will be held April 30 at 1 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Hondo, Texas with Pastor David Mayer officiating.
