Carmel Maxine Buchel, 89, of Cuero passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. She was born June 14, 1927 in Fal, Louisiana to Huebert and Lula Ray McDonald. Carmel married Fred T. Buchel on Nov. 4, 1951 in El Campo.
She is survived by sons, Bruce Buchel and Bill Buchel; grandchildren, Shane Matthew Buchel, Jeremy Taylor Buchel, Jason Emil Buchel; and great-grandchildren, Shane Andrew Buchel and Monica Lynn Buchel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt Ray McDonald and Lula Ray McInnis McDonald; husband Fred T. Buchel; and brother, Emmitt Ray McDonald.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Ater officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Andrew Buchel, Monica Lynn Buchel, Jeremy Taylor Buchel and Jason Emil Buchel.
