Clarence D. Thomas, 64, of Dallas formerly of Cuero, passed away on Jan. 20, 2014.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1949. Clarence was a Navy Veteran and was retired from the Dallas Independent School District as well as a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cuero.
He is survived by his daughters Shumura Johnson and Tushana Price of Cuero and his son James (Dorothy) C. Mathis of Houston. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Taylor Boston Mathis, TyReake Mathis, Rashanique Wilson, Angel Mathis, Tre Miles, Condr’e Douglas and JaZahn Johnson.
The visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. thru 2 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2014 at the L.E. Meador Encampment Grounds in Cuero with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kelvin Washington officiating. Burial will be at Pleasantville Cemetery.
