Robert Leroy Wheeler, 84, of Cuero, Texas, a former longtime resident of Robstown and Corpus Christi, died Thursday, June 6, 2013.
Bob was born in Rogers, Texas on July 28, 1928. He married on Aug. 13, 1950 in Tokio, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean Bullock Wheeler; his children, Dwayne and Cathy Wheeler, Rich and Mary Wheeler, Karen and Joe Marquez, and Dean and Melanie Wheeler; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was at noon and a funeral service followed at 1 p.m. Monday, June 10 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi. Graveside services followed at Robstown Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to Camp Bandina Christian Encampment.
