Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Snooks Stirl, 86, of Columbus, TX went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2014.
She was born on December 11, 1927 to Robert and Paula Sachtleben Messamore Luedicke in San Antonio, TX. Snooks worked as a homemaker. On July 7, 1946 she married Harold Stirl. Snooks had an exuberance for life and a flare for creativity. Her love for family was shown in the endless number of outfits she sewed, birthday cakes she baked, and family celebrations she planned and prepared for. She was an artist and she shared this gift by giving her pictures and painted shirts to family and friends. A gardener that brought beautiful flowers and birds to the backyard. But most of all she was a friend, with an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on and gentle arms to hold you in love and support. She was the rock of the family and is already missed.
Snooks is survived by her husband, Harold H. Stirl of Columbus, TX, daughters, Cynthia Willoughby of Cypress, TX, Denise Hickey of Austin, TX, and a son, Michael Stirl and wife Nancy of Daingerfield, TX, 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
