Gordon Fred Ruschhaupt, 76, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
He was born April 24, 1937 in DeWitt County to the late M.A. and Florine M. Ruschhaupt. He married his beloved wife Virginia Capak Ruschhaupt on July 5, 1988 in Cuero. He worked as a millwright at Alcoa until retirement. He was a rancher and a member of the Cuero Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed helping others, working with his hands and his border collies.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, Michele Ruschhaupt (Susan Christian) of Austin and Meredith Cash (Curtiss) of Victoria; son, Michael Ruschhaupt (Yvon) of Cuero; sister, Gloria Eckel (Gary) of Sarco; and grandchildren, Cameron Ruschhaupt of San Marcos and Haylee Ruschhaupt of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marlene DiGiantamasso.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Karl Biermann officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
