Patrick Cecil Dolan, 79, of Cuero passed away November 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born March 18, 1935 in San Patricio to the late Hubert and Myrtle McCowan Dolan. Pat married the love of his life, Darleen Hayes, on May 31, 1957 in Corpus Christi. He was a member of the Golden Crescent Region Antique Auto Club of Victoria since 1978, member of Young Farmers, and a long-time member of the Cuero Church of Christ, where he served as Deacon.

Pat enjoyed ranching, welding, NASCAR, restoring old cars, and helping others. He never met a stranger. Pat was a caring husband, warm-hearted father, protective brother, and an adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. Our lives have been blessed with many friends, too many to count and recognize individually. Our beloved will be missed but his character and presence will always be with us.

He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Pat took great pleasure in working with his cows and making his ranch a showplace. Pat was one of 10 awesome brothers and sisters who had a bond beyond measure. This may be the end of their generation, but the love they shared among themselves and their families is eternal.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 year; sons, Bryce Dolan (Barbara) of Cuero and Guy Dolan (Carl Van Dolzer) of Houston; daughter, Theresa Garoni (John V.) of Cuero; grandchildren, Craig Dolan, Brandon Dolan, Derrick Dolan, Dustin Dolan, Brayden Garoni, Candace Dolan, Amanda Walton, and Lexey Walton; great-grandchildren, Kaidance, Hannah, Bailey, Annaleigh, Kyleigh, and Jaxton Dolan.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Roy Patrick Dolan; sisters, Nellie Stuckey, Margarite Carr, Adaline Harris, and Claudila Taylor; and brothers, Hubert, Vernon, George, Lonnie, and Michael Dolan.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 6, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Evangelist Richard Smith officiating.  Interment will follow. at Hillside Cemetery. There will be a reception at Cuero Church of Christ following Interment.
