Marjorie Mae Wasserman, 90, of Arlington formerly of Yoakum passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 in Arlington Texas. She was born on August 10, 1924 in Yoakum, Texas. Marjorie married Albert (Pete) Wasserman on November 16, 1945 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero. She was a loving, generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved and was loved by all her family and her little dog Toby.
She is survived by her children, Barry Wasserman (Sarah), Carol Merkel, Debra Ozenick (Mark), and Jayne Metzger (Dan); grandchildren, Michael Wasserman, Jennifer Mauro (Anthony), Kari Junco (Neil), John Merkel, Daniel Metzger, Katie Runyan (Scott), Kimberly Drenner (Matt), Bob Metzger, and Emily Wasserman; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Merkel, Logan Junco, and Emerson Runyan; brothers, Don Monk and Bob Manning (Joyce) of Yoakum, Texas and James Manning (Sylvia) of Victoria, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her adoring husband; brothers, Neiland Monk, Edward Monk, and Wayne Manning; and sister, Joyce Benbow.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Hillside Cemetery with Pastor Karl Biermann officiating.
