Bridget Carolyn Washington-White, 61, of Cuero, went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2014. She was born March 5, 1953 in Corpus Christi to the late Gladys Blackwell. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was the Sunday School secretary under the pastorship of Rev. AB Bedford at Little Zion Baptist Church. Bridget graduated from Cuero High School in 1971. She married James Washington and this union two children, Shawn Megail and Michelle Lorene, were born. In 1985 she married Franklin White and to this union one child, Christopher Eugene, was born. In 1982 she earned her license as a Vocational Nurse and practiced until her health failed. She was a faithful member of My Father's House Church under the leadership of Pastor Paula Hopkins.
Bridget leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 29 years; sons, Shawn Washington of Cuero and Chris White of Victoria; daughter, Michele Washington of LA; sisters, Pamela Callis, Rose (Joseph) Gibbs, and Deborah (Sidney) Battles; grandchildren, Julian, Lauren, Israel, Mattie, Kaylin, and Marquis; uncles, Joe Pleasants, Emmitt Blackwell, and William Tim Blackwell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother; and brothers William Pleasants and Roger Dean Barnes.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Cuero with Pastor Paula Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasantville Cemetery in Concrete.
