Elizabeth Joan Migura, 75, of Victoria, passed away January 21, 2015. She was born in Yorktown on June 14, 1939 to the late John and Elizabeth Wagner Pokluda. She worked for AT&T and Southwestern Bell for over 42 years where she was a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Altar Society, the Catholic Daughters St. Ann Court #369 and taught CCD for many years. Elizabeth volunteered at DeTar Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Emory Migura of Victoria; daughter, Melissa Straarup and husband, Soren, of Victoria; sisters, Janet Hadash of San Antonio and Judy Morgan of Houston; brothers, Ladis Pokluda of Georgetown and John Pokluda of Cuero; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Migura.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at a later date at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Our Lady of Victory School Tuition Fund or Holy Family Catholic church.
