John David Luker, 47, of Cuero, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. He was born June 21, 1967, in Cuero, to the late George H. Luker and Mary Irene Sims Luker. He married Beverly Meredith Luker on April 22, 1995. He was a master carpenter and enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Beverly Meredith Luker; son, Ean Luker of Cuero; sisters, Gaynell Goehring of Yorktown, Kathy Hahn, Debra Mills, Susan Earp, all of Cuero, Jimmy Lou Richmond of Rockport, and Peggy Gossett of Nixon; brothers, Harvey L. Luker, James E. Luker, both of Cuero, and Billy H. Luker of Yorktown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary E. Thornton and Nancy Sims; brother, George A. Luker.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, 2:00 pm, at Trinity Church, with Rev. Kevin Powers and Rev. Kenneth Mills officiating.
Pallbearers include Bubba Thornton, Kristopher Mills, James Raquet, Steven Clawson, Bennie Earp, and Josh Gratehouse. Honorary pallbearers include Robert Rapier and Jason Raquet.
