Edward Otto Mann, 85, of Yorktown, Texas died on February 17, 2015. He was born September 11, 1929 in Bowman, ND to Otto and Berta Wirsching Mann. He served in the US Army from 9-11-1951 to 6-11-1953 while in Korea earned the Purple Heart. He was a member of Yorktown First United Methodist Church.
Edward is survived by his wife Betty Mann, daughters Carolyn Morehead, Bonnie (Thomas) Stepanski, and Debra (Bill) Niemeier all of Yorktown, sister Edith (Edwin) Wisian of Nordheim, and brothers Robert (Dorothy) Mann of Eugene, OR, George (Jean) Mann of Realitos, TX and Herman (Judy) Mann of Tulsa, OK and sister-in-law Georgia Mann of Alice, TX. He is also survived by step children Larry (Rhonda) Kueck of Waco, TX, Glenn (Becky) Kueck of Waco, TX, Joy (Timothy) Ditto of Houston, TX and 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Gloria Wisian Mann and brothers William and Norman Mann.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Morehead, Mark Morehead, Jarrod Stepanski, Will Niemeier, Ward Niemeier, Gary Aguayo, Charlie Friesenhahn, and Jonathan Weischwill.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday Feb. 19, 2015 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday Feb. 20, 2015 at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
