Harry Lee Schumacher

Harry Lee Schumacher, 69, of Cuero passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born September 13, 1945 in Yoakum to the late Arthur and Elsie Schumacher. Harry graduated Cuero High School in 1964 and served in the United States Air Force as a diesel mechanic while stationed in Turkey. He married Lillie A. Vacek on July 26, 1992 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Harry was the owner and operator of H. Schumacher Concrete and Construction and was most passionate about spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, and valued strong work ethic. 
 
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lillie Schumacher; daughters, Donna Thomas and husband, Mike, of Goliad, Stacy Caskey of Cuero, and Penny Armstrong and husband, Sean, of Portland; sons, Brent Schumacher and wife, Amy, of Ft. Worth, Paul Malinovsky and wife, Lori, of New Braunfels, Darryl Malinovsky of Shiner, Michael Malinovsky and wife, Peggy, of Shiner, Mark Malinovsky and wife, Michelle, of San Antonio, and Tim Malinovsky and wife, Lora, of San Marcos, grandchildren, Paul Malinovsky III, Nathan Malinovsky, Geri Malinovsky, Erin Malinovsky, Caden Malinovsky, Emily Malinovsky, Ryan Malinovsky, Matthew Malinovsky, Cody Malinovsky, Margaret Ann Kotzur, Wyatt Kotzur, Cheyanne Emerson, River Malinovsky, Kara Thomas, Justin Thomas, Kelly Thomas, Jake Avant, Luke Avant, Hannah Avant, Lillie Grace Avant, Brooklyn Caskey, Kennedy Schumacher, Paityn Armstrong, and Adelyn Armstrong; sister-in-law, Marie Schumacher of Yoakum; nieces, Annette Rath and Sandra Anders; and nephew, Kenneth Schumacher.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin Schumacher and Harvey Schumacher; sister-in-law, Peggy Schumacher; and nephews, Allen Schumacher and Mark Schumacher.
 
Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cuero with a rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be Monday, March 9, 2015, 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cuero with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery in Shiner.
 
Pallbearers include Anthony Rath, James Rath, Paul Malinovsky III, Nathan Malinovsky, Ryan Malinovsky, Justin Thomas, Luke Vacek, and Brad Vacek. Honorary pallbearers include Matthew Schumacher, Parker Schumacher, Drew Katzmark, Brady Anders, Wyatt Kotzur, Matthew Malinovsky, and all his grandchildren.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michaels Catholic School or to the charity of the donor's choice.
