Alloyd Speed, 72, of Yorktown died Tuesday March 10, 2015. He was born February 21, 1943 in Yorktown to the late Jimmie and Adeline Fromme Speed. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Alloyd loved fishing, hunting and his cattle.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Claudia Crossland Speed of Yorktown, children Jimmy Speed and wife Charlyn of Yorktown, Janet Whitley and husband James of Edna, Jay Speed and wife Belinda of Goliad and Jeffery Speed of Goliad. Twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Jerry Speed and wife Gladys of Corpus Christi, sisters Jeanette Sedlacek and husband Gerald of Victoria and Marian Ezell and husband Todd of Kerrville.
Visitation is 5-7 pm Friday March 13, 2015 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 12:00 pm Saturday March 14, 2015 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mitchell Speed, Wayne Whitley, Jake Speed, Ryan Speed, Josh Speed, Sam Speed and Austin Speed. Honorary pallbearers are Dana Huber, Shelby Scarborough, Brook Speed, Hannah Gohmert and Emily Speed.
