
Jerry Hahn Jr. 66, of Yorktown died Tuesday May 12, 2015. He was born Aug. 18, 1948 in Meyersville to the late Jerry and Pauline Broll Hahn Sr. He was a car enthusiast, an avid hunter and fisherman. Jerry never met a stranger, he always had a story or a joke and would talk to anyone. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jerry served in the US Army in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Heasley on June 10, 1978 in Pasadena.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis Hahn of Yorktown, daughters Mandy Hahn of Yorktown and Laura Hahn of Karnes City, granddaughter Hannah Zimmermann, sisters Carolyn Wyrwich of St. Hedwig, Betty Hahn of San Antonio and Mary Gayle Warnasch of Stockdale. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his companions Nugget and Barkley and his four chickens.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patsy Ideus and Florence Neinast.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday May 15 with a 7 p.m. rosary at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday May 16 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Schroller, Steven Hoefling, Terry Hoefling, Mark Knobles, David Audilet, and David Styra. Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart Ideus, Daniel Villarreal, James Warnasch, Randy Heasley, Jagger Zimmermann, Matt Carlsen, Michael Sinast and Don Debose.
