
Carwin "Dutch" Laging, 71, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 15, 1944 in Gruenau to the late Werner and Bernice Mueller Laging. Dutch was the owner of Certified Rentals for 28 years until he retired in 1997 to pursue his passion for pecan production and ranching. Dutch enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling the United States.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Laging of Cuero; son, Kirk Laging and wife, Polly, of Cuero; sister, Arlene Orr of Greenville; brother, James Laging and wife, Jeanette, of Harwood; and grandchildren, Garrett Laging and Claire Laging, both of Cuero.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 46 years, Diana Kay Laging; and brothers, Lawrence Laging and Roy Laging.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015, 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Cuero with Dr. Glenn Robertson and The Rev. Dr. Bill Carrell officiating.
