Rubert Lloyd Egg of Meyersville passed away at 76 on Saturday, July 25, 2015. He was born February 10, 1939 to Walter and Elvie Egg and was a life member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Meyersville. He loved and cherished life and was always there to help everyone. He spent his life doing Christian work including Sunday School teacher, piano player, confirmation teacher and the organ player for the church. He was also a member of the choir. He participated in community service including 4-H leader and the Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department. He spent his entire life working and spending time with his family and farm. He retired from CP&L after 45 years of employment and traveled the world with his beloved wife and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Elvie Egg. He is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 58 years, Billie Egg; one brother and two sisters; his children Greg Egg and wife, Debbie, Vance Egg and wife, Cindy, Lynn Holliday and husband, Keith; his grandchildren Jordan Egg and wife Stephanie, Kayla Egg, Garrett Egg, and Jamie Holliday; step grandchildren Clint Scribner and wife Sandra, Jesse Scribner and wife, Jennifer, Jerry Holliday and wife, Celinda; great-grandchildren Jayce Egg and Brieson Egg.
Visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6-8 pm with a prayer service to begin at 7 pm with Pastor John Boor officiating. You may sign the guest book or send condolences at www.freundfuneralhome.com.
