Suzanne Lee Collins, 64 of Yorktown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015. She was born May 26, 1951 in Weslaco to the late David and Noca Poulos Markle. She graduated from Donna High School in 1970 and attended Pan American University for two years. Suzanne worked as a teacher’s aide in Donna, dispatcher for Western Co. of North America in Edinburg and B-J Hughes in Bryan. She moved to Victoria and worked for Culberson Well Service, P & A Supply, teacher’s aide at Aloe School in Victoria. She moved to Yorktown where she worked for Elder Oil Tools, then moving to the DeWitt County Appraisal Office.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter Tracie (Roger) Pawelek of Pleasanton, son John (Heather) Young of Yorktown, brother David Markle of Donna, grandchildren Cameron Shirley, Gage and Adyson Pawelek, Preston and Paislee Young.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Harry and Jim Markle.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Kidney Foundation, First Baptist Church in Westhoff and donor’s choice.
