
Norvan Haun, 85, of Meyersville passed away Nov. 19, 2015. He was born Dec. 5, 1929 in Meyersville to Adolph and Bertha Haun. Norvan married Georgia Uhyrek on Sept. 29, 1953 in Ganado. Norvan was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a rancher and retired from CPL after many years of service as a lineman. Norvan served on the Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of the American Legion and VFW, and a past director for the DeWitt County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by Bryan Haun and wife, Gina, of Cuero; sister, Corrine Froehlich of Meyersville; and grandchildren, Shannon Haun of Cuero and Brock Haun of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Georgia Haun; and brothers, Ellis and Johnny Haun.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor John Boor officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Terry Haun, Lee Haun, Randy Froehlich, Sam Kana, Alan Michalik, and Anthony Stransky.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department.
