
Edmond Plasczyk, 90, of Yorktown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015. He was born Dec. 16, 1925 in DeWitt County to the late Joe and Sophie Lempa Plasczyk. He was a farmer/rancher, served in the U.S. Army and was a life member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Alice Codling Plasczyk of Yorktown; children Shirley Keseling of McQueeney, Annie Plasczyk of Cedar Creek, Frances Plasczyk of Houston, Donna Plasczyk (Foster) and husband Steven, Diana Pawlik and David Plasczyk and wife Norma, all of Victoria. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joe Wills, Sherry Oakes, Plenty Williamson, Astin Perez, Ross Plasczyk, Angela Foster and April Pawlik, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Mary Jane Duderstadt, brother Victor Plasczyk, an infant brother, sisters Lillian Respondek and Irene Kelch, and three grandchildren Daniel Keseling, Monica and Meagan Plasczyk.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4 at Massey Funeral Home. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 5, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment followed at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Moore and Victor Moore.
Memorial can be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church or Yorktown Voluntary Fire Department.
