
Bobby Wayne Guenther, 62, of Cuero passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016. He was born June 24, 1953 in Cuero to the late Henry L. and Nettie Inez Edgar Guenther. Bobby married the love of his life, Dianne Cessor, on July 17, 1974 in Cuero. He was a Cuero High School graduate and a State Final Gobbler fullback from 1970-1972. Bobby was a butcher at Smolik's Barbecue for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dianne Guenther; daughter, Crystal Lynn Guenther Webb and husband, Sean, of Cuero; sisters, Dorthy Caraway and husband, Ray, of Port Lavaca and Kathy Raven and husband, Bobby, of Bloomington; brother, Billy Joe Guenther and Peggy, of Schroeder; grandchildren, Emily Nicole Webb of Victoria and Ethan Tyler Webb of Cuero; and multiple nieces and nephews that were thought of as his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruby Guenther.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Stacy C. Cessor, Noah Bland, Tracy Lapp, Matthew Jackson, Blake Jackson, Roger Rickman, Joe Cardenas, Chris Zapata, and Andrew Mansfield. Honorary pallbearers include David James Cessor-Culver, Derek A. Cessor-Culver, Dustin C. Cessor-Culver, Russel Smolik, Jonathan Cardenas, Gabby Alaniz, Grover Cessor Sr., Willie C. Cessor Jr., Trey Cessor, David Caraway, Johnny Tumlinson, and Allen Roach.
