Jesus Gutierrez Jr, 75, of Yorktown passed away Friday Jan. 29, 2016. He was born Aug. 31, 1940 in Yorktown to the late Jesus and Onorata Saldivar Gutierrez Sr. He loved being on the ranch, roping and working cattle. He also loved dancing.
He is survived by his wife Amelia Gutierrez of Yorktown, children Mary Alice (Johnny) Flores of Floresville, Rose Ann Flores (Robert Bernal) of San Antonio, Martha (Joe) Garcia of Yorktown, Jessie (Rachel) Gutierrez of Stockdale, Norma (Mark) Ximenez of Floresville, and Michael Gutierrez of Yorktown, sister Emilia Cortez of Smiley and brother Alex Gutierrez of Martinez. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Benina Garcia and Paulina Nunico.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 with a rosary starting at 7 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.
