Viola Edwards Sparks entered into rest on January 29, 2016 at the age of 69. She was born on Sept. 2, 1946 in Cuero to the late Nathan and Jessie Williams Edwards.
Viola is survived by her sons, Odist Sparks, Jr., Robert Sparks, and Artis Sparks; daughters Pamela Thomas and Perstefanie Sparks; brothers, Melvin Edwards and Paul Edwards; and her sisters Martha Ann Roach, Sarah Edwards, and Mary Jane Gill.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great, grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Odist Sparks, her brothers Johnny Edwards, Louis Edwards, and Lester Edwards; and sister, Cora Mae Adams.
A viewing for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Cuero with service following at 1 p.m. with Rev. D.A. Belvin officiating.
