Roland Metting, 93, formerly of Yorktown, passed away in Diamondhead, MS, on October 31, 2016. He was born November 8, 1922, in Yorktown to the late Caesar and Martha Warmuth Metting.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leona Brieger; and brother, Edwin Metting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Metting; and son, Larry C. Metting and wife, Linda.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m., on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Roger Hawes officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harlan Brieger, David Putnam, Roy Rabenaldt, Harold Rabenaldt, Dominik Rabenaldt, and Melvin Danysh.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church Building Fund or charity of choice.
