
Arnulfo Corpus, 61, of Yorktown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov.30, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Yorktown, to the late Ysidro Corpus, Sr and Eloisa Garcia Corpus.
“Scooby,” as he was called, was a loving father, son, brother and uncle, but, his greatest accomplishment was in becoming a grandfather.
Arnulfo is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Adam Corpus, Andy Corpus and Johnny Corpus; grandparents, Tomas and Maria Garcia, Josefa Cuellar and Gabino Corpus.
He is survived by his children, Cassandra Slade and Tevin Slade of Yorktown; granddaughter, Breelan Slade of Yorktown; sisters, Esther Salazar and Eloisa Mejia of Victoria, Elida Corpus Guerra of Cuero, Estela Sierra, Emma Mungia, Elsa Corpus and Elvira Ybarra of Yorktown; brothers, Arturo Corpus of Pasadena, Frank Corpus of Victoria, Armando Corpus of Cuero, Ysidro Corpus Sr, Tony Corpus and Fabian Corpus; numerous nieces and nephews.
On Friday, Dec. 9, a Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. and Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at San Luis Catholic Church. Father Rogers Hawes to officiat. Burial will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery.
