Marsha Kaye Wolf, 70, of Yorktown passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017. She was born Oct. 6, 1946 in Sinton, Texas to Melba Brown and the late J. W. (Jake) Hughes. She graduated from Yorktown High School and Southwest Texas State University. She was an active member of the 1st United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women, Grenau Hall, Ladies Auxiliary of V. F. W. Post #8136, Red Hat Society, Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR), Friends of The Library, Yorktown Historical Museum, Keep Yorktown Beautiful and National Mah-Jongg League. She was a retired school teacher and played bridge and Mah-Jongg weekly with the ladies group.
She is survived by her son Kevin (Becky) Wolf of Cuero, daughter Monica Kaye Wolf of Yorktown, mother Melba Brown Hughes of Yorktown, sister Linda (Barry) Hughes Bateman of Bergheim, Texas, brother Fred (Jennifer) Hughes of Yorktown and grandchildren Bradley Wolf and Anndrea “Andi” Wolf both of Cuero.
She is preceded in death by her father J. W. (Jake) Hughes.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tray Hughes, Phil Hughes, Walter Bateman, Derek Soltes, Tanner Hughes and Jake Hughes.
Memorials may be given to 1st United Methodist Church-Yorktown or donor’s choice.
