Coys Carl Casey departed his earthly life on Dec. 19, 2016 in Canton, Texas. He had an enormous heart and always had time to help anyone in need. He was, and will remain a faithful servant of God who dedicated his life to God’s word and inspired others in their walk with the Lord.

He attended East River Baptist Church, where he made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age. During his life, he served as a Southern Baptist Deacon for 68 years. He was a founding member of numerous Southern Baptist churches and a dedicated member of Baptist churches in Bayside, Rockport, Cuero, Hallsville, Shelbyville, Belton, Tyler and Canton, Texas.

At 89 years, Casey was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from AMOCO/ British Petroleum, one of the worlds supermajor oil and gas companies. His greatest memory of his employment was serving the Southwestern Region as a Union Representative in Employment Arbitrations.
