Maline Floyd Goehring Sievers, 91, of Yorktown, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 after a long battle with nerve and muscle disease.
She was born March 13, 1923 in DeWitt County, to the late Henry August Goehring and Antoinette Natho Goehring. She married Harry Louis Sievers on July 7, 1941, in Cuero. They were married 72 years, 2 months and 23 days at the time of his death on Sept. 30, 2013, after a long illness. Maline enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting and working in the field with a tractor. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was confirmed November 1946.
Maline is survived by her daughters, Irene Heinold of Mission Valley and Karen (Steven) Murschel of Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Mary, Ronald, Donald, Shelly, Kristal, Amy, David, and Travis; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce Baacke and Geraldine Goehring; half brother, E. V. Caruthers; nieces and nephews; and the mother of Bobby's children, Virginia Henyan (B.J.).
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bobby; soninlaw, Edward Heinold; brother, Delbert Goehring; halfsister, Deloris Sievers; sisterinlaw, Harriett; brothers-in-law, Weldon, Pete and Denis; and parents-in-law.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug., 22, 2014, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Finch Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Muehlbrad officiating. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ronald and Donald Heinold, David and Travis Sievers and great-grandson, Darrell Heibel, and nephew, Duke Goehring.
