Janet Campbell, 59, of Yorktown passed away Friday Oct. 24, 2014. She was born July 8, 1955 in Yorktown to the late Claudie and Dorothy James Campbell Sr. She was a member of the Rising Star Baptist Church and retired from Yorktown ISD.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Campbell of Yorktown, son Alex (Mendy) Campbell of Breckenridge, TX; four grandchildren, Destany Mungia of Victoria, TX, Dylan Mungia, Darrien Campbell and DaKielynn Campbell all of Breckenridge, TX; sisters Lucille Campbell, Alice (Henry) Rogers and Gloria Baldwin; brother Claudie Campbell Jr. all who reside in Yorktown. Host of numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly and whom she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth Smith, Linda Campbell, Claudette Campbell and Sally Campbell; brother, Louis Campbell.
Pallbearers included, Peter Waggoner, Henry Rogers Sr, Daniel Jones, Ralph Vela, Marc Guerrero, Johnny Lott, Tony Longoria III and Nathaniel Williams. Honorary Pallbearers were Anthony Slade, James Campbell, Dylan Mungia, Shamar Nation, Jody Booker, Melvin Booker Jr, Tevin Slade, Kaiyne Salazar and Michal Booker.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 and funeral was held on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment followed at Upper Yorktown Cemetery.
The family of Janet Campbell expresses the greatest appreciation for the love, sympathy, cards, flowers, calls, visits, food, words of comfort and prayers.
