Margie Foster Baack Jones, 77, of Cuero passed away Monday, May 20, 2013.
She was born Sept. 23, 1935 in Wild Horse Creek, Okla. to the late Marvin and Matilda Pearl Heath Foster. She loved life and could always make a person smile. She loved to dance, especially square dancing. She also enjoyed reading and fishing. She was a talented storyteller, had sage advice, and sassy remarks. She was an LVN for 21 years. Margie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother “Granny.”
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Gregorcyk and husband, Tommy, Kathy Howard, both of Cuero, and Candy Baack of Lubbock; sons, Bill “Michael” Baack and wife, Jamie, of Lubbock; grandchildren, Amy Gregorcyk Ruiz and husband, Randall, Holly Hamilton, Erin Anzaldua and husband, James, all of Cuero, Laura Cessor and husband, Stacy, of Stockdale, Joshua Smith, Lori Baack Walters, Kyle Baack, Kirk Baack, all of Lubbock, Matthew Peek and wife, Samantha, of Graham, Wash., Luke Peek and wife, Alli, of Arlington, Wash., Justin Baack and wife, Aubrie, of Carrolltown, and Cole Baack of Kaiserslautern, Germany; great-grandchildren, Kody, Jacob, and Jayden Smith, Michaela, John Thomas, and James Ruiz, Marissa and Emily Hamilton, Noah, Shania and Ashton Cessor, Evan Walters, Wyatt and Lillie Peek, Ava and Easton Peek, Abigail Baack, Brady Baack, and Gabriella Anzaldua.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cora Ivy and brother, Richard “Bubba” Foster.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at Trinity Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Margie Jones to the American Red Cross to help the tornado victims in Oklahoma.
Margies’ family humbly thanks the caring nurses and staff at Whispering Oaks Manor and Cuero Community Hospital for the excellent care and being wonderful friends to Granny in the last years of her life.
