Trinidad Rocha Jr.

Trinidad Rocha Jr. of Victoria died Dec. 6, 2013 at the age of 67. 
 
He was born June 24, 1946 in Cuero to the late Trinidad Sr. and Elvira Rocha.
 
He retired as a welder from Alcoa in Point Comfort and was a member of the local V.F.W. and Knights of Columbus. Trinidad served as mayor of Point Comfort in the 1980s and also was a member of the Point Comfort Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to being a Boy Scout Troop Leader for many years, Trinidad also served his country in the U.S. Navy.
 
Trini is survived by his daughters Michelle Velasquez (Ruben) of Port Lavaca and Melissa Loyd (Jason) of College Station. He has five grandchildren, Ezekiel, Victoria and Elijah Velasquez and Keeley and Arabella Loyd. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Ursulita Amador (Raymond) from Cuero, Dora Longoria of Cuero, Felis Gomez of Cuero, Gloria Zacharias of San Antonio, Lupe Anzualda (Albert) of Cuero, Daniel Rocha Sr. (Connie) of Cuero, Joe Rocha of Houston, Gilbert Rocha (Martha) of Pasadena, Janie Guajardo (Louis) of Cuero, Willie Rocha of Victoria and Raymond Rocha (Melissa) of Pearland.
 
Services for Trinidad will be held at 9:30 on Tuesday, Dec. 10, a rosary will start at 10:30 a.m. and funeral mass will start at 11 a.m. The services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church in Cuero with Father David Berger officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery.
