Dexter Wayne Tumlinson, 68, of Cuero passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013.
He was born on May 4, 1945 in Warner Robins, Ga. to Jimmie Dexter Tumlinson and Mildred Wright. He married his beloved Karen Crawford on Sept. 9, 1973 in Seguin. He loved going to auto auctions and his dogs, now gone, Samson, Cody, and Polly. His dog Cookie is now missing him. He loved his music and played lead guitar for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Dwayne and Trish Tumlinson, Shane and Jennifer Tumlinson, Marie and Kent Scrivner, and Danny and Maria Kalka; grandchildren, Travis and Taylor Tumlinson, Tyler, Patrick, and Jordan Tumlinson, and Adam and Kara Skipper.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, David and Terry Tumlinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Griffin, Kenny Griffin, Bruce Brown, Micheal Brandis, Bryan Nicol, Jim Hall, and Ben Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials made to Adopt a Pet or Acres of Animals veterinarian Sandy Cockran.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating.
